Chief Financial Officer

Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at ARK Accounting is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing all financial operations and providing strategic leadership on financial matters. The CFO will guide budgeting and forecasting processes, monitor cash flow, and ensure accurate and timely preparation of internal and external financial reports. This role includes reviewing financial statements, leading financial analysis, and advising senior leadership on business performance, risk management, and growth opportunities. The CFO will establish and maintain financial policies and controls, support compliance with applicable regulations, and collaborate with operational teams to optimize profitability and efficiency. The CFO will also mentor finance staff, refine financial systems and workflows, and contribute to long-term strategic planning.
Qualifications
Strong finance and financial planning skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategy.
Proficiency in preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
Experience with financial reporting, including management reports, regulatory filings, and performance dashboards.
Advanced analytical skills for interpreting financial data, identifying trends, and supporting data-driven decisions.
Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, preferably as CFO or equivalent in a professional services or accounting environment.
Deep knowledge of GAAP, financial controls, and compliance requirements relevant to accounting and advisory firms.
Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote environment, with strong organizational and time management capabilities.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; CPA, CMA, MBA, or equivalent advanced qualification is highly beneficial.
