Chief Financial Officer

Role Description The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at ARK Accounting is a full-time, remote role responsible for overseeing the organization’s financial strategy, operations, and performance. The CFO will lead the finance function, including budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and capital planning, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and interpreting financial statements, overseeing financial reporting processes, and providing clear analyses and insights to support executive decision-making. The CFO will collaborate with leadership on long-term financial planning, risk management, and profitability initiatives, and will guide the implementation of financial systems and controls. This role also includes mentoring finance team members, managing key stakeholder relationships, and contributing to strategic business planning.
Qualifications
Strong finance and financial planning skills, including experience with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial management.
Proficiency in preparing, reviewing, and interpreting financial statements, with a focus on accuracy and compliance.
Hands-on experience with financial reporting and regulatory requirements, including the ability to design and improve reporting processes.
Advanced analytical skills to evaluate financial data, identify trends and risks, and present actionable insights to leadership.
Proven leadership experience in a senior finance role, ideally as CFO, VP of Finance, or similar position.
Knowledge of accounting principles, internal controls, and financial systems; experience in an accounting or professional services firm is beneficial.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to explain complex financial information clearly.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA) or professional certification (CPA, CMA) is an advantage.
Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain confidentiality and ethical standards.
