About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Node.js Developer to join our dynamic team at Covetus. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable server-side applications and APIs that form the backbone of our digital solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Node.js, JavaScript or TypeScript, and experience working with RESTful services, databases, and cloud-based platforms. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, architects, product managers, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience (3+ years) in Node.js development and building scalable backend services.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
Solid understanding of databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or similar.
Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
Knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience with version control systems like Git.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js.
Build reusable, efficient, and secure server-side components to optimize application performance.
Develop microservices and integrate with third-party services and APIs to enhance functionality.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and implement new features and enhancements.
Optimize applications for maximum speed, scalability, and reliability, ensuring high performance under load.
Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in existing applications to maintain smooth operation.
Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code adhering to best practices and standards.
Implement security measures and data protection protocols to safeguard sensitive information.
Participate in code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and follow established development standards.
Work closely with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines, automate deployment processes, and ensure smooth releases.
