The ideal candidate brings a strong foundation in public accounting, experience supporting publicly traded organizations, and a thorough understanding of internal controls, financial reporting, and audit requirements.
This position offers the flexibility of a fully remote environment, exposure to sophisticated accounting operations, and a clear opportunity for continued professional growth.

Take full ownership of assigned general ledger accounts and financial reporting areas, including balance sheet and income statement activities.
Lead the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, supporting schedules, and financial analyses.
Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timely delivery.
Assist with financial statement preparation, consolidations, and reporting requirements for publicly traded organizations.
Contribute to SEC reporting activities, including supporting schedules and documentation for quarterly and annual filings.
Implement, maintain, and document internal controls in accordance with SOX and ICFR requirements.
Partner with external auditors throughout quarterly reviews and year-end audits, preparing comprehensive supporting documentation.
Identify accounting discrepancies, unusual transactions, and opportunities to improve financial processes.
Review the work of staff accountants, providing technical guidance and ensuring high standards of accuracy.
Participate in accounting system enhancements, process improvements, and financial technology initiatives.
Collaborate with senior accounting and finance leadership to ensure effective reporting and compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
Required Qualifications
Active CPA license required.
3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including a minimum of 2 years in public accounting.
Experience at the Audit Senior level or equivalent within a public accounting environment.
Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, financial reporting, and accounting principles.
Hands-on experience with SOX compliance, internal controls over financial reporting (ICFR), and audit documentation.
Solid understanding of substantive audit procedures, financial statement preparation, and audit-ready workpapers.
Advanced Excel capabilities, including account reconciliations, financial analysis, and reporting.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and take ownership of deliverables.

Experience supporting publicly traded companies or SEC reporting requirements, including 10-Q and 10-K filings.
Background with a Big Four, national, or regional public accounting firm.
Experience with financial consolidations, ERP implementations, or accounting system improvements.
Prior experience reviewing or mentoring junior accounting professionals.

Be a hands-on contributor who takes initiative rather than simply delegating responsibilities.
Demonstrate sound technical judgment and independently resolve accounting challenges.
Thrive in an environment with evolving priorities and firm reporting deadlines.
Communicate proactively, identify potential issues early, and bring solutions to the table.
Maintain a strong sense of accountability, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Value teamwork, continuous improvement, and long-term professional development.

Competitive base salary of $120,000–$130,000
100% remote work environment
Comprehensive medical and dental insurance options
401(k) retirement plan with employer matching
