Role Description The Senior Financial Director is a full-time remote role responsible for overseeing the organization’s overall financial strategy and performance. This role includes leading financial planning and budgeting cycles, monitoring cash flow, and guiding long-term financial decision-making. The Senior Financial Director will review and interpret financial statements, supervise the preparation of financial reports, and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Daily activities include analyzing financial data, identifying trends and risks, providing insights to senior leadership, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to support business growth and operational efficiency. The role also involves developing and maintaining internal financial controls, mentoring finance team members, and contributing to strategic initiatives and organizational improvements.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Financial Planning and Finance to lead budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial strategies.
Candidates should possess expertise in Financial Statements and Financial Reporting to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial documentation.
Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills to interpret complex financial data, identify trends, and support decision-making.
Extensive experience in senior finance or director-level roles, preferably in consulting or service-oriented organizations.
Proficiency with financial software, ERP systems, and advanced Excel or similar tools.
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management abilities, with experience guiding distributed or remote teams.
Relevant academic background such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA, CFA) are an advantage.
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
