About Eco Sourcing Hub
Eco Sourcing Hub is an international sustainability, FMCG trading and supply chain group operating across Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
We are looking for an experienced Carbon Accounting & Sustainability Lead to help us strengthen, develop and grow the sustainability consultancy services we provide.
The Role
We are looking for someone who can combine strong technical carbon accounting knowledge with commercial thinking and service development.
You will work closely with our management and technology teams to:
• Lead and review corporate carbon footprint calculations across Scope 1, 2 and 3.
• Strengthen our carbon accounting methodologies, calculation frameworks and quality assurance processes.
• Support the scientific and methodological development of our proprietary carbon accounting platform.
• Review emission factors, calculation logic, data quality and reporting methodologies.
• Deliver and oversee sustainability and carbon projects for existing clients.
• Support Carbon Reduction Plans, Net Zero strategies and corporate climate reporting.
• Help develop new carbon accounting and sustainability services.
• Support and train junior and remote team members.
• Participate in client meetings and translate technical carbon information into practical business recommendations.
• Contribute to the long-term growth and development of Eco Sourcing Hub’s carbon accounting and sustainability division.
What We’re Looking For
We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:
• Corporate carbon accounting and GHG inventories
• GHG Protocol – Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3
• Carbon footprint calculations and emissions modelling
• Carbon Reduction Plans and Net Zero strategies
• Lifecycle Assessment (LCA) / Product Carbon Footprinting
• Sustainability or ESG consulting
• Carbon data analysis and quality assurance
Experience with the following would be a strong advantage:
• CDP
• SBTi
• EcoVadis
• B Corp
• Carbon Reduction Plans / UK public procurement requirements
• NHS / healthcare sustainability requirements
• ESG and sustainability reporting frameworks
The Person
We are looking for someone who is:
• Technically strong but commercially minded
• Comfortable working directly with clients
• Able to challenge methodologies and improve existing processes
• Interested in the intersection of carbon accounting and technology
• Capable of working independently and taking ownership of projects
• Comfortable collaborating with developers and translating carbon accounting methodologies into software requirements
• Fluent in professional English
• Interested in helping build and grow a business area rather than simply completing assigned calculations
A relevant academic background in sustainability, environmental science, engineering, climate change, energy, economics, supply chain or a related discipline is preferred.
Professional qualifications or certifications in carbon accounting, climate, ISO or sustainability would be an advantage.
