About Avasora
Avasora is a health and wellness membership for women at all stages of life. The membership platform is an iOS app. Every day it gives each member a plan built around her own goals and her own words: her energy, her sleep, her cycle, and the years of perimenopause and menopause. Our members told us one thing above all: they want a real health coach who knows them, not another AI health app. That is the role we are hiring for.
The Women You Will Support
Most of your members will be in perimenopause or menopause, usually between 40 and 60. Many of them are:
Sleeping badly, with night sweats and early waking, and tired through the day.
Unsure what is normal, as their cycle, mood, weight and energy change and no one has explained why.
Carrying a great deal at once: work, children, ageing parents, and very little time for themselves.
Ready to act, on strength, nutrition, sleep and stress, with someone beside them who remembers what they said last week.
They choose you by name, based on your professional and personal experience with women's health. They want warmth, practical next steps, and a coach who notices what is particular to them.
What You Do
Send her prepared weekly plan. Avasora's software prepares a draft from what she logged during the week; you personalise it and make it hers.
Reply on Mondays and Thursdays, in 1 message that answers everything she wrote.
Write a short note in a week she has not written, so she never feels forgotten.
Take voice or video calls, as she prefers, on mutually agreed days and times. Calls are scheduled in 15-minute blocks.
Answer an urgent message the same day, and point her to her own medical doctor for every medical question. This is coaching, never clinical care.
Who You Are
A certified health coach, for example an HCANZA accredited coach, NBHWC board certified, or certified by a recognised health coaching program.
Experienced coaching women through perimenopause and menopause, through training, practice or both.
Living in Australia or New Zealand, and working as an independent contractor with your own ABN.
A warm, clear writer, who sounds like a friend and never like a form letter.
Set up to coach online, with a computer and a current web browser, a webcam, a headset or a good microphone, reliable high-speed internet, and a quiet, private place for calls. Your replies and calls all happen on Avasora's secure coach page.
Pay And Hours
You are paid for every piece of work, at US$30 an hour (about A$43), on the 15th of each month, from an itemised statement, directly into your own bank in Australian or New Zealand dollars. Your first 6 weeks pay 20% more while we measure the time each task really takes.
Most of the work is written. With a full caseload of 50 members, a typical month looks like this:
Written work for every member: her weekly plan, your Monday and Thursday replies, and short notes. About 32 hours a month, or 8 hours a week.
Calls for a much smaller number: each member books a call about once every 2 months, so about 25 calls a month, or 6 a week. About 10 hours a month, notes included.
That is about 43 hours a month in all. Avasora is opening its membership in New Zealand and Australia, so you start with a small number of members and build from there.
