Chief Quality Officer

Role Description The Chief Quality Officer at AFRICA FINANCE GROUP is a full-time, remote role responsible for leading organization-wide quality strategy and execution. This role oversees the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality frameworks, policies, and standards to ensure regulatory compliance and strong performance outcomes. Day-to-day responsibilities include setting quality objectives, monitoring key performance indicators, analyzing quality data, and guiding corrective and preventive actions. The Chief Quality Officer collaborates with cross-functional teams to embed quality practices in operations, leads quality audits and reviews, and reports regularly to senior leadership on risks, trends, and improvement opportunities. The role also involves mentoring quality teams, implementing best practices, and fostering a culture of accountability and excellence across the organization.
Qualifications
Demonstrated expertise in Quality Management and Quality Assurance, with a track record of building and maintaining robust quality systems.
Experience in Performance Improvement and Quality Improvement, including designing and leading initiatives that optimize processes and outcomes.
Background in Nursing or clinical operations is highly beneficial, with the ability to integrate clinical standards into broader quality frameworks.
Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience guiding multidisciplinary teams and influencing senior stakeholders.
Proficiency in data analysis, metrics development, and reporting to support evidence-based decision-making.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex quality concepts in clear, practical terms.
Proven ability to work effectively in a remote environment, managing priorities across time zones and cultures.
Relevant advanced degree (e.g., Healthcare Administration, Quality Management, Nursing, or related field) and professional certifications in quality (such as CQO, CPHQ, or Six Sigma) are an advantage.
