The Opportunity
We’re growing our US business and looking for someone who can help us open new conversations with potential customers.
Our company develops AI and software solutions for businesses across the US and Asia. That includes AI voice agents, custom-built AI tools, and software designed around specific business needs. Our voice agent product is already being used by paying customers to handle incoming and outgoing calls around the clock.
This is an early-stage sales role, so you won’t be stepping into a process where everything has already been decided. You’ll be doing real outreach from day one, seeing what messaging works, learning what prospects care about, and helping us refine the way we approach the US market.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
The goal of this role is simple: find good potential customers, start the conversation, and turn that interest into qualified meetings.
You’ll work across phone, email, LinkedIn, and other outbound channels to connect with business owners and decision-makers. We’ll provide prospect lists, case studies, pricing materials, sales resources, and support from the rest of the team.
Your day-to-day work may include:
Contacting prospective customers through cold calls, email, and LinkedIn
Researching companies and identifying the strongest potential opportunities
Learning enough about a prospect’s business to understand whether our solutions are relevant
Booking discovery calls with qualified leads
Following up with prospects who showed interest but have not yet moved forward
Keeping your pipeline, outreach activity, and meetings updated in HubSpot
Identifying which opportunities are worth pursuing and which are unlikely to convert
Sharing objections, questions, and feedback you repeatedly hear from prospects
Testing different outreach messages and helping us improve our sales process over time
You are not expected to be the technical expert on the call. When a conversation becomes more technical, an engineer or another team member can join to explain integrations, product capabilities, implementation, or custom requirements.
Your responsibility is to build the initial relationship, understand what the prospect needs, and move the right opportunities forward.
How You’ll Be Paid
This is a commission-based 1099 independent contractor role. There is no base salary and no fixed earnings cap.
Compensation includes:
25% commission on AI voice agent deals
8–12% commission on custom AI and software projects
$30–$50 bonus for every qualified meeting booked
Payments are made monthly. Deal commissions are paid as client payments come in.
Because you also receive a bonus for qualified meetings, you do not have to wait until your first closed deal to begin earning.
Who We’re Looking For
You don’t need a long enterprise sales background. We care more about whether you are comfortable speaking with new people, handling rejection, and consistently following up.
You’ll likely be a good fit if you:
Communicate in a direct, conversational way instead of relying heavily on scripts
Are comfortable reaching out to people who have never heard of us before
Don’t get discouraged by unanswered calls, ignored messages, or rejection
Know how to ask questions and keep a conversation moving
Can recognize when a prospect is genuinely interested versus when an opportunity is unlikely to go anywhere
Are willing to experiment with different outreach approaches
Can organize your own work without needing someone to constantly check in
Feel comfortable speaking with business owners, managers, and other decision-makers
Have strong spoken English
Some previous sales experience is expected, but it can come from many different places. Experience in cold calling, SDR/BDR roles, telemarketing, retail sales, campus sales, upselling, door-to-door sales, or similar customer-facing work can all be relevant.
Mandarin-English bilingual ability is strongly preferred, since our team operates across the US and Asia and some of our workflows involve cross-border communication.
Work Setup
This position is:
Fully remote
Flexible in schedule
Structured as a 1099 independent contractor engagement
You can organize your own working hours, although you should be available during appropriate times for the prospects you are contacting.
Applicants must currently be based in the United States. Being located in California is a plus, but it is not required.
You must also already have valid US work authorization. This can include:
US citizenship
Permanent residency / Green Card
OPT or CPT authorization
H4-EAD
Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
What We’ll Give You
You won’t be expected to build the sales operation entirely from scratch.
We provide:
Prospect and lead lists
Pricing information
Case studies and sales materials
HubSpot access for managing your pipeline
Technical support from engineers during qualified calls
Guidance directly from our GTM lead
Feedback and support as you develop your outreach approach
Since you’ll be joining while our US sales operation is still growing, you’ll also have more influence than you would in a large, established sales organization. Strong performers may have the opportunity to take on a larger role and potentially transition into a full-time position as the US team expands.
