Market Research Analyst

Role Description This part-time Market Research Analyst role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, with a hybrid work arrangement that allows a mix of on-site and work-from-home days. The Market Research Analyst will collect and analyze market data related to copper and broader commodities, including pricing trends, demand drivers, and competitor activities in key global markets. Daily tasks include conducting structured market research, preparing concise reports and dashboards, and providing insights to support sales, procurement, and strategic planning. The role involves monitoring regulatory and trade developments, evaluating potential end buyers and regions, and communicating findings to internal stakeholders in clear, actionable formats. The analyst will collaborate with management to refine market entry strategies, identify new opportunities, and help optimize contract terms and customer targeting.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Market Research and Market Analysis skills to evaluate industry trends, customer segments, and competitive landscapes.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills and Research capabilities to collect, interpret, and synthesize quantitative and qualitative data.
Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills to present insights clearly in written reports, presentations, and discussions with stakeholders.
Knowledge of commodities trading, metals markets, or international trade (especially in Africa and the Middle East) is highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, Statistics, Marketing, or a related field is preferred; relevant professional experience in market analysis is an advantage.
Proficiency with spreadsheets, data visualization tools, and online research platforms, along with the ability to work independently in a hybrid environment.
Strong attention to detail, ethical conduct in handling sensitive market information, and the capacity to meet deadlines in a dynamic, international setting.
