Role Description This is a remote internship role for a Senior Software Engineer trainee at greenmiles india. The intern will assist in designing, developing, and maintaining back-end services and APIs, working closely with senior engineers to implement robust and efficient software solutions. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean, testable code, reviewing existing codebases, participating in technical discussions, and contributing to system design and architecture under guidance. The role also involves debugging issues, optimizing performance, documenting technical work, and collaborating with cross-functional team members through online tools and meetings.
Qualifications
Solid foundation in Computer Science concepts, including data structures, algorithms, and operating systems.
Skills in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, with exposure to server-side frameworks and API design.
Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), with experience in at least one modern language (e.g., Java, Python, C#, or similar).
Ability to read and understand existing codebases, troubleshoot issues, and apply best practices for code quality and testing.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a structured approach to tasks.
Comfort working remotely, managing time effectively, and communicating clearly in written and verbal form.
Enrollment in or completion of a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Interest in learning modern development tools (version control, CI/CD, cloud platforms) and collaborating in agile teams.
