Candidates will be responsible for delivering robust, reliable, and cost-effective hardware solutions while collaborating with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, and global design teams.
Key Responsibilities1. Analog & Mixed-Signal Circuit Design
Strong expertise in analog and mixed-signal design, including op-amps, filters, signal conditioning, ADC/DAC, and sensor interfaces.
Hands-on experience with Switch-Mode Power Supplies (SMPS) and DC-DC converter design (Flyback, Buck, Boost).
Solid understanding of SI/PI simulation tools (HyperLynx, CST, Sigrity, SiWave, SPICE).
Proficiency with ECAD tools such as Altium, OrCAD, and Allegro.
Strong lab debugging skills using oscilloscopes, analyzers, and power measurement tools.
Design and analyze analog front ends, signal conditioning circuits, ADC/DAC interfaces, and sensor interfaces.
Develop power supply topologies, including buck, boost, flyback, LDO, and DC-DC converters.
Drive component selection and design trade-off analysis to meet product specifications, cost, performance, and reliability targets.
2. PCB Design & Development
Develop electronic schematics and collaborate with PCB layout teams on component placement, routing, and design optimization.
Apply Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) principles, including impedance control, crosstalk mitigation, decoupling, return path integrity, and IR drop analysis.
Support high-speed interfaces such as Ethernet, USB, DDR, and PHY.
Ensure PCB designs meet manufacturability, serviceability, thermal, and reliability requirements.
3. Hardware Bring-Up, Debugging & Validation
Perform hardware bring-up, troubleshooting, and root-cause analysis using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers, TDRs, and spectrum analyzers.
Conduct design verification, functional testing, performance validation, and system-level integration testing.
Support EMC/ESD testing, pre-compliance debugging, product qualification, and regulatory requirements such as UL, IEC, and FCC.
4. Product Development & Project Execution
Own hardware development activities from requirements gathering through design, verification, and release.
Prepare and review design documentation, including HLD, DFMEA/FMEA, RTM, verification plans, and design review documents.
Drive PCBA risk mitigation, component obsolescence management, PCB refresh programs, redesign initiatives, and cost optimization.
Develop alternative design solutions and evaluate technical trade-offs to meet diverse product requirements.
Required Technical Skills
Strong fundamentals in Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Hands-on expertise in analog, mixed-signal, and power electronics circuit design.
Experience with SMPS and DC-DC converter design, including buck, boost, flyback, and LDO topologies.
Knowledge of SPICE simulation tools and ECAD tools such as Altium, OrCAD, or Allegro.
Understanding of SI/PI principles and high-speed interface design constraints.
Good to Have
C/C++ embedded programming experience.
Basic understanding of FPGA design and HDL programming.
Experience in project management, WBS, risk management, and supplier coordination.
