Network Architect

Role Description This part-time remote Network Architect role focuses on designing, implementing, and optimizing secure network infrastructures for clients of Novo Tempo Terceirização de Serviços. The Network Architect will plan and document network topologies, evaluate current environments, and propose improvements aligned with performance, scalability, and security requirements. Daily responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders to gather technical requirements, creating detailed network diagrams, and selecting appropriate technologies and configurations. The role also involves overseeing implementation activities, supporting troubleshooting of complex network issues, and ensuring adherence to best practices and compliance standards. The Network Architect will work closely with internal teams and external partners to maintain reliable connectivity, monitor network performance, and contribute to long-term architecture roadmaps.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Network Architecture and Network Design, with the ability to create scalable, secure, and high-availability solutions.
Proficiency in Network Engineering and Network Administration, including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of routers, switches, firewalls, and related infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with Network Security, including access control, encryption, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and security best practices.
Knowledge of TCP/IP, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), VLANs, QoS, and troubleshooting tools such as packet analyzers.
Experience with cloud and hybrid network architectures (e.g., AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers) is highly beneficial.
Ability to analyze complex technical problems, document solutions clearly, and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent practical experience are a strong advantage.
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet project deadlines.
