About the Role
NLB Services is seeking a C++ Storage Developer with 4–8 years of software engineering experience and a strong background in storage systems and low-level software development. The role focuses on developing diagnostic solutions for next-generation storage hardware, including Gen12 and beyond.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on knowledge of storage devices, NVMe protocols, and storage technologies across SSD, HDD, and cloud storage environments. Proficiency in C/C++ and Python is required, along with an understanding of storage internals and device-level functionality.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop diagnostics for next-generation storage hardware, including Gen12 and beyond.
• Work with storage systems and low-level software development.
• Apply knowledge of SSD, HDD, and cloud storage internals to storage-related development and diagnostics.
• Work with storage devices and NVMe storage protocols and technologies.
• Use C/C++ and Python in software development related to storage systems.
Required Qualifications
• 4–8 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong expertise in storage systems and low-level software development.
• Proven knowledge of storage technologies, including SSD, HDD, and cloud storage internals.
• Proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
• Experience or exposure to storage devices and NVMe storage protocols and technologies.
Preferred Qualifications / Additional Skills
• Exposure to additional storage protocols and technologies, such as SATA and SAS.
• Knowledge of RAID and file systems.
• Familiarity with SQL.
• Experience with tool development.
• Knowledge of Rust.
• Familiarity with Windows and Linux environments.
• Knowledge of PowerShell.
