About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
Company Description Ecomine is a DPIIT-recognized deep-tech startup transforming mineral exploration in India through advanced AI/ML technologies. Its flagship platform, Spectropy, combines hyperspectral satellite imagery, drill-core analysis, and multiple geophysical datasets into a unified subsurface intelligence layer. By leveraging spectral unmixing, geophysical inversion, and deep-learning models tailored to Indian terrains, Spectropy generates high-confidence mineral prospectivity maps from surface to drill bit. Ecomine replaces fragmented, siloed exploration workflows with a data-driven, physics-informed approach that helps geologists identify precise drilling locations and underlying rationale. The team focuses on delivering efficient, accurate, and scalable mineral exploration solutions for industry partners.
Role Description The Forward Deployed Engineer role at Ecomine is a full-time, remote position focused on implementing and integrating Ecomine’s technologies directly with client workflows. Each day, the engineer collaborates with geologists, data scientists, and product teams to understand client requirements and translate them into robust software solutions. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining back-end services, building APIs and data pipelines that connect Spectropy to customer systems, and optimizing performance for large-scale geospatial and geophysical datasets. The role also involves troubleshooting production issues, deploying updates, and ensuring reliable operation in real-world exploration environments. The engineer is expected to contribute to technical documentation, support client onboarding, and provide feedback to improve Ecomine’s platform and internal tooling.
