Shubhda Bhutra Architecture + Design is a Bengaluru-based architecture and interior design practice focused on creating thoughtful, contemporary and functional spaces. The studio works across architecture, interiors and retail design, with a strong emphasis on design detailing, materiality and quality of execution.
Our team works closely with clients, consultants, vendors and contractors from concept through completion, providing young architects the opportunity to be involved in both the design and execution of projects.
Role Description
We are looking for an Architect with 1–3 years of professional experience, preferably with experience in retail and commercial interiors.
The role involves working on projects from concept development through detailed design, technical documentation and site execution. The candidate should be comfortable taking ownership of drawings and coordination, working with vendors and contractors, and translating design intent accurately on site.
This is a full-time, on-site position in Bengaluru.
Qualifications & Requirements
* 1–3 years of professional experience in architecture/interior design, preferably with exposure to retail interiors
* Strong understanding of interior design, space planning, materials and detailing
* Experience in both design development and project execution
* Strong proficiency in AutoCAD and SketchUp
* Ability to prepare accurate working drawings, detailed drawings and construction documentation
* Good understanding of technical detailing, materials, finishes and interior construction methods
* Experience coordinating with contractors, vendors, consultants and site teams
* Ability to conduct site visits, resolve execution-related issues and ensure design intent is maintained on site
* Ability to manage project timelines, drawings, approvals and deliverables
* Strong attention to detail and ability to independently follow up on project requirements
* Good communication, coordination and problem-solving skills
* Professional degree in Architecture (B.Arch)
Preferred
Candidates who have independently handled or been closely involved in the design and execution of retail stores, commercial interiors or fast-paced interior projects will be preferred.
A strong portfolio demonstrating design sensibility, technical drawings, detailing and executed work would be an advantage.
