Role Description The IT Systems Administrator role at Mining Daily 24 is a part-time, remote position focused on maintaining and supporting the company’s technology infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include administering servers and user accounts, monitoring system performance, and performing routine updates and backups to ensure reliability and data integrity. The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, providing user-facing technical support, and coordinating incident resolution across systems and applications. The IT Systems Administrator also assists with network administration tasks, helps implement security best practices, and collaborates with internal stakeholders to optimize tools and workflows that support digital publishing operations.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong System Administration skills, including managing servers, user access, and routine maintenance.
Candidates should possess solid Troubleshooting and Technical Support skills to diagnose issues and assist end users effectively.
Candidates should possess Network Administration skills for configuring, monitoring, and securing network resources.
Candidates should possess broad Information Technology knowledge, including operating systems, cloud-based tools, and security practices.
Experience with remote work environments, ticketing systems, and documentation of IT processes is beneficial.
Relevant certification (e.g., CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, Microsoft or Linux administration certifications) is a plus.
Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage priorities in a part-time schedule are required.
Previous experience in media, publishing, or data-driven organizations is advantageous but not mandatory.
