Role Description The Product Development Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Vadodara. The individual in this position will design and develop new flow meter products and enhancements, from concept through prototyping and final validation. Daily responsibilities include conducting research and development activities, performing engineering calculations, preparing detailed product and component designs, and collaborating with cross-functional teams such as manufacturing and quality. The role involves testing and troubleshooting prototypes, optimizing designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability, and maintaining documentation for design changes and technical specifications. The Product Development Engineer will also support continuous improvement initiatives and provide technical input for customer-specific applications.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to product development and HVAC-related instrumentation.
Demonstrated experience in Product Development and Product Design, including concept generation, prototyping, testing, and design optimization.
Well-developed Analytical Skills, with the capacity to interpret data, solve technical problems, and improve product performance.
Background in Research and Development (R&D), including experimental design, evaluation of new technologies, and documentation of findings.
Proficiency in CAD tools and engineering software for modeling and analysis, and familiarity with manufacturing processes relevant to instrumentation.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams, communicate technical information clearly, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in flow meters, HVAC systems, or industrial instrumentation is an advantage, along with knowledge of relevant industry and safety standards.
