About the Client
Our client is a Mumbai-based gifting company specializing in floral décor and floral gifting. They design and deliver everything from large-scale floral installations to curated corporate gifts, handling end-to-end sourcing of flowers, candles, dry fruits, diyas, and more.
In their first year, they have grown profitably month on month and delivered projects for some of India's leading corporates and families. They are now moving from a direct-to-consumer model to a B2B focus on corporate gifting, events, and large-scale décor, and we are building the team and structure to scale.
Role Overview
They are looking for a COO who will run the business day to day and turn a fast-growing founder-led business into a structured company. Our founder brings in the business from UHNI and HNI clients from his Bollywood-based network; you have to make sure it is delivered flawlessly, on time and profitably.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows the events and gifting world, can manage large corporate orders end to end, and is confident enough to challenge the founder and shape how the company grows.
Key Responsibilities
Operations and execution
Own the delivery of every client project, from confirmed order to final installation or dispatch.
Manage large-scale corporate gifting orders and floral installations, including timelines, budgets, and quality.
Build and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and freelancers; negotiate pricing and terms.
Step in as the decision-maker on day-to-day operations when the founder is unavailable.
Structure and systems
Set up processes, SOPs, and reporting so the business runs efficiently and does not depend on any one person.
Define clear roles and responsibilities across the team as the company grows.
Track costs, margins, and inventory to keep every project profitable.
Team leadership
Lead and coordinate the core team across admin, execution, design, and social media.
Mentor junior team members, including the business development team.
Support hiring as the company scales.
Clients and growth
Be a senior point of contact for key corporate clients during execution.
Use your industry network to open new corporate accounts and partnerships.
Work with the founder on strategy, pricing, and the company's B2B growth plan.
Who We're Looking For
Essential
4-5 years of experience in events, corporate gifting, hospitality, or a related industry.
Proven experience executing large corporate orders or events end to end, ideally including gifting procurement for large corporates.
Strong vendor management, negotiation, and budgeting skills.
Experience leading a team and running day-to-day operations.
An existing network in the corporate, events, or gifting space.
Also considered
A corporate PR background, if it includes managing events or gifting for large corporate clients. Boutique, fashion, or beauty-only PR is not the right fit for this role.
Personality and working style
An owner's mindset: you treat the business as your own.
Calm and decisive under pressure, especially on tight timelines.
Structured and detail-oriented, with an eye for quality and aesthetics.
Comfortable in a small, fast-moving team.
Work arrangement
