Role Description
The Subject Matter Expert – Data Science role is a full-time, on-site position based in Coimbatore. The individual in this role will design and deliver high-quality learning content in data science, data analytics, and statistics for students preparing for tech careers. Day-to-day responsibilities include creating structured curricula, developing problem sets and projects, preparing teaching materials, and conducting interactive sessions, workshops, or bootcamps. The role also involves mentoring learners, clarifying complex concepts, reviewing student work, and providing constructive feedback to improve their skills and employability. Collaboration with other educators and product teams to update content in line with industry trends and hiring requirements is a key part of the position.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in data-focused domains, including Data Science, Data Analytics, and Data Analysis.
Robust Statistics knowledge and the ability to explain concepts clearly through real-world examples.
Excellent Analytical Skills to design problem statements, evaluate solutions, and guide learners in structured thinking.
Experience with relevant tools and technologies such as Python/R, SQL, machine learning libraries, and data visualization platforms.
Prior experience in teaching, training, or mentoring in data science or related fields is highly beneficial.
Clear and engaging communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics for learners with diverse backgrounds.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
Ability to work collaboratively on-site in Coimbatore and contribute to a learner-centric, inclusive environment.
