Role Description The VP of Risk Management at Web Basic Solutions is a full-time, remote role responsible for designing and overseeing the company’s risk management framework across operations, finance, and market exposure. This role involves identifying, assessing, and prioritizing risks related to web development projects, client contracts, data security, and financial performance. The VP will develop and maintain risk policies, controls, and reporting processes, and work closely with leadership to align risk appetite with strategic goals. Daily tasks include conducting risk assessments, monitoring key risk indicators, advising teams on risk mitigation strategies, and preparing reports and presentations for executive stakeholders. The role also includes collaborating with finance and operations teams to ensure compliance with relevant standards and to support sustainable growth.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in Enterprise Risk Management with experience designing and implementing risk frameworks and policies.
Knowledge of Market Risk and its impact on technology and digital services businesses.
Advanced Analytical Skills for assessing complex data, identifying trends, and making informed recommendations.
Background in Finance or Financial Services, including understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial controls.
Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional risk initiatives and influencing senior stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain risk concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience working in or with technology, software, or digital services organizations is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Risk Management, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., FRM, CRM) are a plus.
Ability to work effectively in a remote environment, manage multiple priorities, and maintain high ethical standards.
