About the Opportunity:
The STAFF ANDROID ENGINEER, PICK & DELIVER is responsible for leading the technical development of Android mobile applications that support retailers and shoppers during the order picking process. This role directly influences the efficiency, quality, and reliability of the customer experience by delivering critical mobile solutions. The position requires collaboration across multiple teams and partners to translate operational requirements into dependable and user-friendly mobile features.
Responsibilities:
Lead technical direction and execution of Android applications supporting all order picking phases.
Design, build, test, and maintain Android apps using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and RxJava.
Collaborate with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, iOS Engineering, retailers, and vendors to define solutions.
Manage projects from discovery through delivery, balancing immediate needs with long-term platform health.
Enhance app performance, reliability, and observability through profiling and architectural improvements.
Provide technical leadership by facilitating design discussions, mentoring engineers, and establishing best practices.
Contribute to the roadmap including new picking models, market expansion, and platform investments.
Requirements:
Minimum 7 years of professional software engineering experience with substantial Android development.
Strong proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android development practices.
Experience leading complex cross-functional software projects.
Skilled in designing maintainable Android architectures and improving app performance and monitoring.
Ability to partner effectively with cross-disciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
Strong communication skills to explain technical decisions and align stakeholders.
Pay Range and Compensation Package:
