About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

MaxIron is looking for a Delivery Manager who brings structure, momentum and accountability to complex work, while building strong relationships with customers and colleagues.
Our work spans customer projects and services, internal software product development and wider business initiatives. We need someone who takes ownership, follows through on commitments and helps people deliver good work together.
About MaxIron
MaxIron specialises in enterprise asset management software, with a particular focus on IBM Maximo and Maximo Application Suite. We help organisations implement, improve and operate these systems, and develop our own software products to support their work.
Professionalism, dedication and care for customers and colleagues are central to how we want to work. We value people who take responsibility, communicate honestly and contribute to the success of the whole team.
The role
You will coordinate delivery across several workstreams, working with customers, consultants, developers and business stakeholders to turn priorities into clear plans and completed outcomes.
• Plan and manage customer delivery, internal product development and agreed business initiatives.
• Maintain clear priorities, milestones, responsibilities and dependencies across concurrent work.
• Track progress, scope, effort and delivery risks, making emerging problems visible early.
• Remove blockers, follow up on actions and escalate issues with practical options.
• Facilitate planning, reviews, retrospectives and other Scrum or Agile activities where appropriate.
• Work with product and technical leads to keep backlogs clear and delivery commitments realistic.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and communicate progress, decisions and changes clearly.
• Coordinate testing, acceptance, releases and handovers with the people responsible.
• Improve how teams work together, using enough process to support reliable delivery.
What you will bring
• Demonstrable experience managing enterprise software projects, technology services orcomparable technical delivery.
• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams and managing competing priorities.
• Practical project management and Agile delivery skills, including Scrum.
• Confidence working directly with customers and senior stakeholders.
• Evidence of taking ownership when delivery becomes difficult, including your actions and the resultsachieved.
• Strong organisation, clear written communication and consistent follow-through.
• Professional proficiency in English.
• A base in the United Kingdom and willingness to travel occasionally.
Experience with enterprise asset management, particularly IBM Maximo or Maximo Application Suite, would be a significant advantage. We also welcome candidates with relevant experience in other enterprise platforms, systems integration or complex software delivery.
Relevant project management or Scrum certifications are welcome. We are particularly interested in how you have applied your skills in practice.
How you work matters
You are proactive, persistent and comfortable having difficult conversations respectfully. You clarify expectations, address missed commitments and stay involved until issues are resolved.
You listen carefully, adapt when the evidence changes and recognise when a plan needs to be challenged. You balance urgency with quality and realistic team capacity.
You care about the customer's outcome and the people doing the work. You share information, support colleagues and take responsibility for your own commitments.
What the role offers
• Varied work across customer delivery, software products and business initiatives.
• The opportunity to shape practical delivery processes and improve how work gets done.
• Exposure to enterprise asset management and IBM Maximo.
• Remote working within the United Kingdom, with occasional travel.
• A competitive salary reflecting relevant experience and responsibilities.
Our interview process
We expect two interview stages: a conversation about your experience, delivery approach and what you are looking for, followed by a practical delivery scenario discussion and a deeper conversation with the team.
Apply
Please apply through the job listing with your CV and a short example of a challenging delivery situation you helped resolve. Tell us what you personally did and what changed as a result.
We welcome applications from people with different backgrounds who can demonstrate the skills and approach this role requires.
