Role Description
Sleek Studio is looking for a Men’s Fashion Designer with a strong focus on Sales and Customer Dealing for a full-time, on-site role in Hoshiarpur.
The primary responsibility will be to interact with customers, understand their preferences, recommend suitable designs, fabrics, colours, and styles, and convert enquiries into successful sales. The candidate should be confident in handling wedding and occasion-wear clients, taking measurements, suggesting personalized designs, and guiding customers throughout the customization process.
The role also involves coordinating with the tailoring, embroidery, sampling, and production teams to ensure that customer requirements are executed accurately and delivered on time. The candidate will assist in developing design concepts, selecting fabrics, preparing design references, and ensuring customer satisfaction from the initial consultation to the final garment delivery.
Key Responsibilities
* Handle customers professionally and provide personalized styling and design consultations.
* Drive sales by understanding customer needs, recommending suitable products, and converting enquiries into orders.
* Deal with wedding clients, grooms, families, and customers looking for customized menswear.
* Explain fabric options, pricing, customization possibilities, and garment details to customers.
* Suggest designs for sherwanis, suits, tuxedos, Jodhpuri suits, bandhgalas, kurta pajamas, and other occasion wear.
* Take accurate measurements and understand fitting requirements.
* Coordinate with tailors, embroiderers, and production staff to ensure correct execution of customer orders.
* Follow up with customers regarding trials, alterations, order progress, and deliveries.
* Maintain strong customer relationships and encourage repeat business and referrals.
* Achieve assigned sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the brand.
* Maintain customer records, order details, and follow-up schedules.
* Stay updated on current menswear, wedding fashion, fabric, and styling trends.
Qualifications and Skills
* Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer-handling skills.
* Sales-oriented mindset with the ability to convert walk-in customers and enquiries into orders.
* Knowledge of men’s fashion, wedding wear, fabrics, colours, styling, and garment fitting.
* Ability to understand customer preferences and recommend designs according to their budget and occasion.
* Confidence in dealing with premium customers and wedding clients.
* Good negotiation, convincing, and relationship-building skills.
* Basic knowledge of fashion design, garment construction, measurements, and customization.
* Ability to coordinate with production teams and manage multiple customer orders.
* Target-oriented, responsible, organized, and attentive to detail.
* Diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field is preferred.
* Previous experience in menswear retail, bespoke tailoring, wedding wear, or fashion sales will be an advantage.
