Transmission Line Design Engineer

BG Power Advisors is recruiting a Transmission Line Design Engineer on behalf of our client, an established power engineering firm serving utility clients throughout the U.S. The firm supports its clients across the full life of their power systems, from early studies and engineering through field work and ongoing support. This is a full-time position, open to remote candidates nationwide, with occasional travel.
What you will do
Lead the design of overhead transmission lines from routing and structure placement through final calculations
Review designs and deliverables for technical quality
Help build and maintain the firm's transmission design standards, drawings and specifications
Estimate costs, plan schedules and manage your own projects
Serve as a point of contact for utility clients and help grow those relationships
What you will bring
Proficiency with PLS-CADD (required)
Working knowledge of the NESC
PE license, with the ability to obtain registration in additional states (preferred)
Compensation and benefits
Salary range: $100,000 to $160,000 per year, depending on experience
