Profile Requirements:
2-3 years of proven experience in automotive finance, auto loan processing, F&I, or a closely related dealership finance role.
Strong knowledge of automotive lending, credit applications, lender programs, loan structures, rates, stipulations, and funding procedures.
Demonstrated ability to negotiate effectively with banks, credit unions, and other lenders to obtain approvals and favorable financing terms.
Excellent customer service, communication, organizational, and documentation skills with strong attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple loan files and deadlines while maintaining accuracy, compliance, confidentiality, and a high level of professionalism.
Core responsibilities:
Process customer auto loan and credit applications accurately and efficiently after the salesperson completes the sales portion of the transaction.
Review customer credit profiles, income, documentation, and financing information to determine appropriate lending options.
Submit applications to banks, credit unions, and other automotive lenders and manage the approval process from submission through funding.
Negotiate loan terms, rates, approvals, stipulations, and financing structures with lenders to secure favorable outcomes for customers and the dealership.
Coordinate with customers to collect required financial documents, explain financing options, and address questions throughout the loan process.
Structure and finalize financing packages, ensuring all contracts, disclosures, lender requirements, and compliance documentation are accurate and complete.
Follow up on pending approvals, stipulations, and funding requirements while resolving discrepancies or issues that could delay loan completion.
Work closely with sales staff, management, lenders, and customers to ensure a smooth transition from completed vehicle sale to finalized financing and funded loan.
