Role Description The Foundation Design Engineer will be responsible for designing and reviewing found
ations for civil, structural, and renewable energy infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with Australian standards and project specifications. Day-to-day tasks include performing geotechnical and structural analyses, preparing foundation design calculations and drawings, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and supporting BIM and CAD modelling related to foundations. The role involves contributing to technical reports, participating in design reviews, addressing construction-related design queries, and supporting quality assurance processes. This is a full-time remote role, requiring close collaboration with Australia-based engineers and clients through digital communication and shared design platforms.
Qualifications
Strong foundation and structural Design Engineering skills, with experience in civil or structural design for highrise buildings, infrastructure or renewable energy projects.
Background in Civil Engineering or related disciplines that support understanding of loads, materials, and structural behavior.
Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, or similar) for producing foundation layouts, details, and 3D models.
Experience with Product Design or component-level detailing where precision, manufacturability, and constructability are critical.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related field.
Familiarity with geotechnical principles, foundation types (e.g., shallow, deep, pile foundations), and soil–structure interaction.
Ability to interpret and apply Australian or equivalent international design codes and standards.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical reporting skills, with attention to detail and quality.
Effective remote collaboration skills, including clear written and verbal communication and experience working within distributed teams.
