About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

Join a growing global technology business where you can work with modern Microsoft technologies and develop your skills as the business continues to grow.
About Atmail
Atmail is a global technology company providing large-scale email platforms to internet service providers and their customers. With a geographically distributed workforce, we are committed to delivering reliable, secure technology while fostering a collaborative, flexible and innovative working environment.
We are looking for a capable, hands-on IT Administrator to join our Corporate IT team and help keep our internal technology environment running smoothly, supporting our internal Atmail team.
The Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Corporate IT, you will play a key role in supporting our employees, managing our Microsoft environment and ensuring our internal systems remain secure, reliable and efficient.
This is a varied, operational role suited to someone who enjoys solving problems, helping people and taking ownership of their work. You'll be trusted to manage day-to-day IT activities independently while working closely with an experienced manager who will support your continued development.
While your initial focus will be on Microsoft administration and end-user support, there will also be opportunities to contribute to systems integration, automation and broader IT improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Administer Microsoft Entra ID, including user accounts, groups, permissions, conditional access and multi-factor authentication.
Manage Microsoft Intune, including device enrolment, configuration, compliance and application deployment.
Support Microsoft 365 applications, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
Manage employee onboarding and offboarding, ensuring accounts, devices, licences and access permissions are correctly provisioned and removed.
Provide responsive IT support to employees across different locations, troubleshooting hardware, software, application and connectivity issues.
Administer internal service management, collaboration and support platforms, including user permissions, workflows and configurations.
Maintain IT documentation, asset registers, procedures and knowledge base articles.
Support endpoint security, access controls and internal IT compliance requirements.
Assist with systems integration, process improvements and automation to improve operational efficiency.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone with practical IT administration experience who is confident using Microsoft technologies, enjoys working with people and can take responsibility for getting things done.
You'll bring:
At least 3 years' hands-on experience in IT administration, systems administration or technical support.
Strong practical experience with Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Intune.
Solid Microsoft 365 administration skills, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams.
Experience managing user accounts, permissions and employee onboarding/offboarding.
Experience supporting Windows and macOS devices in a business environment.
Familiarity with IT ticketing systems, collaboration tools and service management processes.
Working knowledge of networking fundamentals, including DNS, DHCP, VPN and TCP/IP.
Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to support both technical and non-technical colleagues.
Strong organisational skills, initiative and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Experience with Zendesk, Jira Service Management, Atlassian products, Amazon Connect, PowerShell or IT automation would be advantageous, but isn't essential.
Why Join Atmail?
This is an opportunity to join a growing international technology business where your contribution will be visible and valued.
You'll enjoy a flexible, work-from-home environment, exposure to a broad range of technologies and the opportunity to expand your responsibilities as your skills develop.
We value people who are approachable, proactive and genuinely enjoy making technology work better for others.
If you're a hands-on IT professional with strong Microsoft administration skills and a desire to grow, we'd love to hear from you.
This is a full-time remote position, working Australian east coast business hours, with occasional out-of-hours support required.
