ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
HumanitApp is sharing an AI project contract opportunity for experienced software engineers based in India. You will use practical engineering expertise to build tasks that test how well AI models handle real software development work.
HumanitApp is an independent referral curator. An external project provider manages applications, assessments and contract engagements. This opportunity is with that provider; HumanitApp does not employ the selected candidates.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
• Create reproducible environments that test an AI model's ability to debug software, implement features, refactor code and improve performance.
• Design realistic engineering challenges involving command-line tools, development workflows, DevOps or CI/CD.
• Build a correct reference solution for each challenge and make the environment reproducible.
• Apply careful technical judgment and clear documentation so tasks can be evaluated consistently.
WHAT YOU BRING
• Strong proficiency in one or more of C++, Python, Java, Go, TypeScript or Rust.
• A solid grasp of algorithms, data structures, performance tuning and scalable software design.
• Substantial hands-on experience debugging complex issues, developing features and refactoring existing codebases.
• Clear written communication and close attention to correctness and maintainability.
Experience with large distributed codebases and rigorous code review is useful. Familiarity with AI or machine learning is a plus; prior AI experience is not required. This opportunity suits experienced engineers who can independently solve demanding coding problems.
COMPENSATION AND COMMITMENT
The provider's job card displays US$100–$150/hour. Its detailed terms specify output-based compensation: payment is per task that meets project requirements. This is not a guaranteed hourly wage or a salaried position. Minimum weekly submission requirements apply; review the actual task rates and engagement terms during selection.
Plan for approximately 15 hours per week. If selected, the project provider expects candidates to be ready to start within 24–48 hours after onboarding. Selection and project availability are not guaranteed.
HOW TO APPLY
