We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineering Domain Expert who understands the complexities of modern software testing and wants to help shape the next generation of AI-powered quality engineering.
Role Overview
As a Quality Engineering Domain Expert, you will bring deep practical QA and test automation expertise to the development of TestAutomate. You will help translate real-world testing challenges into product capabilities, validate AI-generated testing outcomes, and establish the quality principles that make autonomous testing trustworthy.
This role is ideal for a seasoned QA professional who wants to move beyond traditional testing execution and contribute to building an innovative AI-native testing platform.
Key Responsibilities
Define risk-based testing strategies, test scenarios, and quality acceptance criteria.
Evaluate AI-generated tests and autonomous testing workflows.
Identify genuine defects, flaky tests, and environment-related failures.
Establish evidence-based validation of test results and PASS/FAIL verdicts.
Translate real-world QA challenges into product requirements and validation rules.
Collaborate with engineering teams to validate product capabilities and edge cases.
Provide domain expertise to shape TestAutomate’s product roadmap and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
8+ years of hands-on experience in Quality Assurance, Quality Engineering, Test Automation, or Software Testing.
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, test design techniques, defect lifecycle, and risk-based testing.
Practical experience with UI automation tools such as Selenium, Playwright, or Cypress.
Experience with API testing, integration testing, regression testing, and end-to-end testing.
Strong debugging, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with test automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, and defect-tracking tools.
Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into testable conditions and measurable quality outcomes.
Strong understanding of flaky tests, test data dependencies, environment-related failures, and false-positive or false-negative test results.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate with product and engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience as a QA Lead, Test Architect, Quality Engineering Lead, or Senior SDET.
Familiarity with AI-assisted testing, LLM-based agents, or autonomous test automation.
Experience with performance, security, or reliability testing.
Exposure to modern cloud-native applications, distributed systems, and microservices.
Experience defining QA strategy, automation architecture, or quality standards for a product or engineering organization.
A builder's mindset and an interest in shaping an early-stage AI product.
