About the Position
Meta Smart Factory is looking for a motivated and technically capable IT Application & Technical Support Engineer to support our industrial software solutions and work directly with our international manufacturing customers.
We are looking for someone who combines technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, customer communication skills, and a hands-on approach.
This is not a traditional call-center support or sales position.
You will work directly with customers, provide software training, support application implementation, configure and troubleshoot IT networks, investigate technical issues, and visit customer facilities when required.
Software development experience is a strong advantage, but being a professional programmer is not mandatory.
Experience with IT networks and infrastructure is particularly important. DevOps knowledge is an additional advantage.
Key Responsibilities
1. Customer Support & Training
Communicate directly with customers and maintain professional relationships.
Provide training on Meta Smart Factory software applications.
Follow up on customer requests, reported issues, and implementation progress.
Support customers during application setup, testing, and go-live.
Conduct online training sessions and on-site workshops.
Understand customer business processes and help them use our software effectively.
2. IT Networks & Technical Infrastructure
Set up, configure, and troubleshoot local IT networks at customer sites.
Understand Ethernet and fiber-optic network infrastructure.
Configure network switches, routers, IP addressing, and VLANs.
Diagnose network connectivity, communication, and performance problems.
Support network configuration changes and infrastructure adjustments.
Assist with connecting industrial machines, PLCs, IoT devices, cameras, and application servers.
Troubleshoot communication between software applications, servers, and industrial equipment.
Work with customer IT departments to establish secure and reliable connectivity.
3. Software Application Support
Install, configure, and support industrial software applications.
Investigate customer-reported software issues and identify possible causes.
Reproduce problems and test possible solutions.
Use AI tools to assist with technical investigations and troubleshooting.
Prepare clear technical reports, support tickets, and development tasks.
Test new features and verify software updates.
Coordinate with our software development team when necessary.
4. Customer Visits & Implementation
Visit customer factories and facilities when required.
Support software and hardware implementation activities.
Assist with system connectivity and technical commissioning.
Provide practical training to operators, engineers, and management.
Follow implementation progress and ensure customer issues are resolved.
Required Skills
Good understanding of IT networks and basic network configuration.
Familiarity with TCP/IP, Ethernet, switches, routers, and IP addressing.
Ability to troubleshoot technical problems logically and independently.
Strong communication and customer support skills.
Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical users.
Willingness to visit customer sites and work in manufacturing environments.
Ability to learn new software applications quickly.
Good English communication skills.
Interest in industrial technology, software, automation, and AI.

Docker and container-based applications.
CI/CD pipelines.
Cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS, or similar).
Application deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
Industrial Systems
MES, ERP, WMS, or production management systems.
PLC connectivity and industrial communication protocols.
Industrial IoT, SCADA, or manufacturing automation.
We do not expect candidates to know everything listed above. Strong technical fundamentals, learning ability, and practical problem-solving skills are more important.
