Virtualization Engineer (m/f/d)

This role is remote within Romania. If you are based in Cluj-Napoca, you also have the option to work from our office in a hybrid setup.
What You Will Do
Design, operate, and optimize Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vSphere/ESXi environments.
Plan and implement high-availability solutions, live migrations, and infrastructure changes.
Analyze and optimize CPU, memory, storage, and network capacity and performance.
Coordinate and deliver virtualization and infrastructure projects, from architecture and implementation through testing and handover.
Troubleshoot complex hypervisor and infrastructure issues during project implementation and stabilization.
Create and maintain technical documentation, project plans, test plans, and runbooks, and present solutions and project outcomes to stakeholders.
When you fit in with us
Mandatory requirements:
5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Hyper-V and Windows Server.
Strong expertise in VMware vSphere/ESXi and virtualization technologies.
Proven experience delivering infrastructure or virtualization projects end-to-end.
Good understanding of data center architectures, including SAN, storage, networking, backup, and high availability concepts.
Proficiency in PowerShell, with strong analytical and troubleshooting skills and a structured, solution-oriented approach.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with experience managing multiple projects in parallel;
Fluency in English and German.
