Firewall & Network Security Engineer (m/f/d)

This role is remote within Romania. If you are based in Cluj-Napoca, you can also choose a hybrid setup and work from our office.
What You Will Do
Design and implement enterprise firewall and network security solutions.
Deliver security projects end-to-end, from requirements and architecture through implementation and handover.
Configure and optimize firewall policies, rules, NAT, VPNs, and security configurations.
Work with Fortinet and Cisco security technologies across enterprise environments.
Analyze complex security incidents, investigate logs, and implement sustainable solutions.
Act as a technical consultant for customers and collaborate with infrastructure teams on security improvements.
When you fit in with us
Mandatory requirements:
5 years of hands-on experience in network security or a similar role.
Strong enterprise firewall and network security experience.
Hands-on experience with Fortinet and/or Cisco security solutions.
Experience delivering security projects end-to-end.
Strong troubleshooting, security analysis, and problem-solving skills.
Strong customer-facing and consulting skills.
Fluency in English and German.
Nice to have:
Fortinet certifications (NSE/FCP)
VPN experience
Security monitoring experience
