Junior Data Enginer

Role Description The Junior Data Engineer role at Hindustan Unilever (HUL) is a part-time, remote position supporting the design, development, and maintenance of data pipelines and infrastructure. Day-to-day responsibilities include assisting in building and optimizing data workflows, supporting ETL processes, and helping integrate data from multiple sources into centralized data platforms. The role involves collaborating with senior data engineers, analysts, and business stakeholders to ensure data is accurate, reliable, and accessible. The Junior Data Engineer will also contribute to basic data modeling tasks, perform data quality checks, and support documentation of data processes and standards.
Qualifications
Strong foundational skills in Data Engineering and familiarity with data pipeline development.
Knowledge of Data Modeling and experience working with structured and semi-structured data.
Understanding of Extract Transform Load (ETL) processes and tools used for data integration.
Exposure to Data Warehousing concepts and basic experience with data storage solutions.
Ability to perform Data Analytics tasks such as querying, filtering, and interpreting datasets.
Proficiency in at least one programming language commonly used in data engineering (e.g., Python, SQL).
Familiarity with cloud platforms and modern data tools is an advantage.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Bachelor’s degree (completed or in progress) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field is preferred.
