Logistics and Accounts Assistant

Merchandise Corporation is a buying and sourcing agency with 20+ years of experience. We work with American and European buyers across home textiles, furniture, décor and tools.
We’re looking for someone with a strong accounts background who can keep our books in order and grow into handling export logistics. If you know Tally and GST well, we’ll teach you the export side on the job.
What you’ll do:
📊 Accounts (core of the role)
🔹 Maintain books in Tally: daily entries, vouchers and ledgers
🔹 Prepare and file GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B) and reconcile GST data
🔹 Do inventory tallying: match physical stock with stock records in the books
🔹 Raise invoices and track receivables from buyers
🔹 Process vendor and service-provider payments
🔹 Support the monthly close and coordinate with our CA
🚢 Logistics (we’ll train you)
🔹 Coordinate with factories, freight forwarders and CHAs on bookings and dispatches
🔹 Prepare and check export documents: commercial invoices, packing lists, BLs, certificates of origin
🔹 Track shipments and keep buyers updated on status and ETAs
🔹 Help resolve delays, documentation issues and freight queries
What we’re looking for:
✔️ 1–2 years of hands-on experience in accounting or bookkeeping
✔️ Working proficiency in Tally
✔️ Experience preparing and filing GST returns and reconciling GST data
✔️ Experience with inventory tallying and stock reconciliation
✔️ Comfortable with MS Excel for records and simple reports
✔️ Detail-oriented, organised and good at follow-ups
➕ Knowledge of export logistics or documentation is a plus
