The Role
As an AI Software Developer / Forward Deployed Engineer at Kingo, you will work directly with customers to understand their most important workflows, design practical AI solutions, and deploy systems that deliver measurable business results.
You will own projects from initial discovery and technical design through implementation, launch, and continuous improvement. This is a hands on generalist role for an engineer who enjoys solving ambiguous problems, working across different technologies, and building alongside customers.
You will operate at the intersection of engineering, product, sales, and customer operations. Your success will be measured by what your systems achieve in practice, not simply by the code you ship.
What You Will Do
Work directly with customers to understand their sales processes, operational challenges, systems, data, and success criteria.
Turn open questions and business problems into clear technical designs and working solutions.
Build AI agents, automations, internal tools, and customer applications using Node.js, React, and Python.
Integrate AI systems with customer databases, CRMs, communication tools, enterprise software, and internal workflows.
Use Claude Code or similar AI coding environments to build and iterate quickly.
Own customer deployments, including reliability, security, performance, monitoring, and improvement.
Test solutions using real customer data, measure business outcomes, and improve systems based on actual usage.
Collaborate with the Kingo product and engineering teams to turn customer needs into reusable platform capabilities.
Create documentation, tools, and implementation practices that help us serve more companies effectively.
Build trusted relationships with customer teams and take responsibility for delivering meaningful results.
What We Are Looking For
At least three years of experience in software engineering, solutions engineering, technical consulting, or a similar problem solving role.
Strong experience with Node.js, React, or Python.
Practical experience using Claude Code or a similar AI coding environment.
Strong foundations in software architecture, system design, APIs, databases, integrations, and data flows.
Experience contributing to technical discovery, solution design, customer workshops, or early AI strategy.
The ability to create clarity when requirements are incomplete and drive projects forward without waiting for perfect instructions.
Strong communication skills and confidence working directly with business and technical stakeholders.
A strong sense of ownership, from the first customer conversation through production results.
Curiosity about AI agents, automation, and how companies can redesign their operations around AI.
Nice to Have
Experience in a forward deployed, solutions engineering, implementation, or customer facing engineering role.
Experience building AI agents, workflow automation, conversational systems, or internal business tools.
Experience deploying and improving production systems used by enterprise customers.
Familiarity with CRM systems, sales workflows, manufacturing companies, or industrial enterprises.
Experience working in an early stage company where priorities move quickly and individual contribution matters.
