About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
Are you an employment law specialist who enjoys turning complex matters into practical, people-focused solutions? In this key role, you will shape and strengthen Employee and Labor Relations across Sweden and Switzerland, with a particular focus on Swedish labor relations and union consultations.
Working closely with business leaders, HR colleagues, unions, and employee representatives, you will provide trusted advice that balances legal compliance with sound business judgement and a positive employee experience.
This is an opportunity to make a visible impact in an international, purpose-driven organization—building strong partnerships, developing effective ways of working, and helping leaders navigate change with confidence.
The role is based at our Stockholm headquarters with a hybrid working model. You will join our HR team and report to the VP, Head of Market HR Sweden and Switzerland.
What you will do
Be a trusted point of contact for Employee and Labor Relations matters across Sweden and Switzerland.
Lead labor and employee relations activities in Sweden, including union consultations, in close partnership with HR Business Partners and business leaders.
Provide clear, practical guidance on employment law, policies, investigations, organizational change, and complex employee matters.
Monitor developments in Swedish and Swiss employment legislation, collective agreements, and regulatory requirements, translating them into relevant actions for the business.
Build constructive relationships with trade unions, employee representatives, works councils, and employee forums.
Develop and deliver engaging employment law training for leaders, HR colleagues, and employee representatives.
Lead our systematic work environment management, risk management, and specialist support to managers.
Chair the Safety Committee and ensure clear preparation, documentation, and follow-through on agreed actions.
Project lead the annual Organizational and Social Work Environment survey, helping managers turn results into meaningful action plans.
You combine deep employment law expertise with a pragmatic and collaborative approach. You are comfortable navigating sensitive and complex situations, but you never lose sight of the people involved. You build trust quickly, communicate with clarity, and know how to influence stakeholders at every level. Proactive and solutions-oriented, you enjoy working across countries and functions in a fast-moving international environment.
To succeed in this role, you bring:
A university degree in law, ideally with a focus on employment or labor relations.
At least five years of relevant experience, with strong expertise in Swedish labor law and good knowledge of Swiss employment law.
Hands-on experience working with unions, works councils, or other employee representative bodies, including collective bargaining matters.
Experience handling complex employee relations cases, investigations, and disciplinary processes.
Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and communication skills.
Fluency in English and Swedish. German or French would be an advantage.
Experience from the pharmaceutical, life sciences, or another regulated industry—and from working in a multinational or matrix organization—would be an advantage.
At Sobi, we live by our core values: Care, Ambition, Urgency, Ownership and Partnership. They guide how we work together, how we make decisions and how we stay focused on what matters most.
