Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Test Engineer role based in Tiruppur. The Test Engineer will design, develop, and execute test cases to validate systems and applications used within The Chennai Silks’ operations. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing functional testing, identifying defects, documenting test results, and collaborating with developers and business teams to resolve issues. The role also involves maintaining test documentation, participating in reviews, and supporting continuous improvement of testing processes to help ensure reliability and efficiency of retail and backend systems.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in test engineering, including experience with overall Testing and Test Engineering practices.
Hands-on experience with Test Execution and creating and maintaining Test Cases.
Practical skills in Functional Testing, with the ability to validate system behavior against requirements.
Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and quality assurance methodologies.
Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools.
Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and ability to document issues clearly.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams on-site.
Relevant degree or diploma in engineering, computer science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience in retail or textile industry systems is an advantage.
