We're Hiring | Software Test Engineers – Industrial Automation & Cloud Testing

We're looking for talented Software Test Engineers to join our Engineering team at HMS Networks! If you have strong experience in Python-based test automation, embedded systems, industrial communication protocols, or AWS cloud testing, we'd love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python and Robot Framework.
Create and execute test cases for embedded firmware, cloud-native applications, REST APIs, backend services, and web applications.
Perform functional, integration, UI, API, and end-to-end testing.
Validate industrial communication protocols and gateway interoperability across industrial automation environments.
Test cloud applications and deployments using AWS services.
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines and continuously improve test coverage.
Analyse test results, troubleshoot issues, track defects, and collaborate with development, QA, DevOps, and product teams.
Participate in Agile ceremonies, requirement reviews, and test planning activities.
✅ Mandatory Skills
For Embedded / Industrial Gateway Testing:
3–5 years of experience in software or embedded systems testing.
Strong Python programming and test automation skills.
Experience with pytest, Robot Framework, Jenkins, or similar tools.
Knowledge of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, BACnet, DNP3, OPC UA, or MQTT.
Experience in hardware-software integration and embedded system testing.
For Cloud Testing:
4–7 years of experience in software testing and automation.
Strong Python programming and Robot Framework experience.
Hands-on experience with REST API testing using Postman, Swagger, or Python libraries.
Experience in UI automation using Selenium, Playwright, or equivalent tools.
Practical knowledge of AWS services such as EC2, S3, AWS IoT, and Lambda.
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Git, backend testing, and database validation.
⭐ Good to Have
Experience with industrial gateways, PLCs, RTUs, IoT edge devices, or networking products.
Knowledge of Layer 2 / Layer 3 networking, industrial network topologies, and protocol gateway architectures.
Exposure to performance and load testing tools such as JMeter, k6, or Locust.
Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing and CI/CD automation.
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies and defect-tracking tools.
