Principal Mechanical Engineer

📌 About Us
Posha is building robot kitchens for the future.
Our first product, the Posha Countertop was recognized as one of TIME’s Best Inventions of 2025 and received rave reviews from The Verge and WIRED for bringing robotics and AI into everyday kitchens.
We’re a fast-growing Series A–funded startup backed by Accel Partners and we’re just getting started.

-------
🤔 What can I expect from this role?
Posha is one of the rare robotics startups building production-grade consumer robots, with hundreds of units deployed in real homes.
This is a Sr. Technical IC role that requires you to solve hard mechanical problems to scale the product from 1000 -> 1M. This role does NOT require you to manage people.
-------
🔧 What will my work responsibilities look like if I join Posha?
You'll serve as the technical authority to take important decisions on design, MFG, the CTQs, the SOPs.
You'll be solving hard technical problems that come along with putting kinematics, thermals, structures and integration into one confined volume — motors and mechanisms, a cooking surface, a sheet metal chassis holding panel gaps under load.
-------
😍 What makes you a match for us?
Have deep technical understanding of kinematics, thermals, structures, integration.
Have been through at least one complete product lifecycle of concept -> design -> manufacturing -> scale-up.

🚀 What The World Thinks of Posha
Posha is comparable to Tesla FSD
“Posha is a fairly good sign that the future is closer than I thought” - The Verge
Posha’s tagline is “See dinner cook itself, and it largely lives up to this.” - WIRED
-------
Why Posha?
Few organizations offer challenges similar to ours. Building completely autonomous cooking robots requires thinking from first principles and building from ground up.
We believe that Posha is a generational company with the opportunity to alter the trajectory of how food is cooked inside homes today. This opportunity is parallel to how autonomous cars have made an impact.
This role will be at the forefront of this opportunity.
