Meet the Team
The Risk team partner directly with Portfolio Managers (PMs) on how they allocate capital, giving them insight into risk exposures, and working closely with the Office of the CIO on trends and forward-looking projects. Their toolkit is heavily quantitative — statistical factor and alpha models customized by asset class so the team can work hand-in-hand with each PM. They are also deeply involved in onboarding new PMs: determining how much capital a PM needs based on their strategy, validating allocations with CIOs, and monitoring portfolios daily and under stress scenarios to keep risk contained — guided by Millennium's philosophy of pursuing low volatility, high return, and never losing more than 10% of allocated capital on a PM.
