Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a QA Head in a Pharma OSD (Oral Solid Dosage) plant located in Roorkee. The QA Head will lead and manage the Quality Assurance function, including development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality systems and SOPs for OSD manufacturing. Daily responsibilities include overseeing batch documentation review, ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements, managing deviations, change controls, CAPA, and risk assessments, and coordinating internal and external audits. The role involves supervising QA teams, providing training and guidance on quality standards, collaborating closely with production, QC, and regulatory teams, and supporting regulatory inspections and customer audits. The QA Head will also monitor key quality metrics, drive root cause analysis, and ensure that products consistently meet quality, safety, and compliance standards.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Quality Assurance and Quality Management, with proven leadership in QA for Pharma OSD plants.
Hands-on expertise in Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Quality Control, ensuring compliance with regulatory and company standards.
Experience in Quality Auditing, including planning, conducting, and closing internal and external audits.
Minimum 10+ years of experience exclusively in Pharma OSD, with significant exposure at Manager/Senior Manager level.
Graduate or postgraduate degree in Pharmacy or a related scientific discipline.
Demonstrated ability to manage QA teams, mentor staff, and drive a culture of quality and continuous improvement.
Strong knowledge of regulatory guidelines (e.g., FDA, WHO, EU, national regulatory bodies) and documentation practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional plant and corporate teams.
Willingness and ability to work on-site in Roorkee and take ownership of end-to-end QA operations for the OSD plant.
