This position will require flexibility to work across our Washington Township, Richmond Township, and Henry Ford Macomb locations.
Hours of Operation:
Monday–Thursday: 6:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
Friday: 6:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Saturday: 6:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Sunday: Closed
Ready to make a real difference in patient care? As a Lab Assistant-Specimen Collector, you'll be the friendly face of our lab! Here's what you'll be doing:
Master the Art of Phlebotomy: Collect blood samples with skill and confidence—you'll spend at least 25% of your time perfecting this essential craft
Keep Things Moving: Process specimens, enter orders, and transport lab materials like a pro, all while following our established procedures
Be a Point-of-Care Testing Star: Perform quick, accurate testing that helps patients get answers fast
Create Great Experiences: Interact with patients, lab staff, and caregivers with genuine courtesy and professionalism—because a smile goes a long way in healthcare
Work Independently (With Support): Take ownership of your tasks under limited supervision, showing initiative and reliability every single day
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate or equivalent required.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and demonstrate exceptional customer service skills is required.
A minimum of six months experience in phlebotomy is required
