Hiring: Senior Platform Engineer – Kubernetes & Storage Infrastructure (Go)
Location: 100% Remote (European Time Zone)
Contract: Freelance
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Long-term
Language: English
We are looking for a Senior Platform Engineer with strong expertise in Go, Kubernetes operator development, and distributed storage systems.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop Kubernetes operators in Go for distributed storage infrastructure.
Build and maintain Kubernetes controllers, CRDs, and admission webhooks.
Implement reconciliation loops, finalizers, and status conditions using controller-runtime and client-go.
Manage the full lifecycle of storage infrastructure, including deployment, upgrades, scaling, and capacity planning.
Support production incident response and ensure the reliability of storage systems.
Must-Have Skills
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes and Go (Golang).
Proven experience building Kubernetes operators and controllers.
Expertise in CRDs, admission webhooks, controller-runtime, and client-go.
Practical experience with Ceph and enterprise storage systems such as NetApp and Pure Storage.
Strong understanding of distributed storage infrastructure.
Nice to Have
Rook and distributed systems.
Capacity planning and incident response experience.
