This role requires someone who can maintain accurate financial records, organise supporting documents, coordinate with different departments, track receivables and payables, and assist management with timely financial information.
The position is not limited to accounting for Digenie alone. The selected candidate will be expected to handle accounting-related responsibilities across the relevant business divisions as assigned by management.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date books of accounts for the divisions assigned by management.
Record sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses, journal entries and other financial transactions.
Maintain ledgers, vouchers, invoices, receipts and supporting documentation.
Assist with monthly account closing and ensure that records are complete and properly organised.
Identify discrepancies, missing documents, duplicate entries and unusual transactions for review.
2. Billing, Receivables & Payables
Prepare and maintain sales invoices, purchase records, expense bills and payment documentation.
Track customer outstanding balances, payment due dates and overdue receivables.
Monitor supplier payments, outstanding bills and payment schedules.
Follow up with relevant teams or customers regarding pending invoices and supporting documents.
Maintain records of advances, reimbursements, credit notes, debit notes and other adjustments.
3. GST, Taxation & Compliance Support
Organise GST invoices and supporting documentation.
Assist with GST-related reconciliations and preparation of information required for statutory filings.
Coordinate with the company's Chartered Accountant or external accounting professionals for tax filings, audit requirements and compliance documentation.
Maintain records required for TDS, GST, income-tax matters and other applicable statutory requirements, as directed.
Help ensure that accounting records and supporting documents are available within required timelines.
Statutory filings, tax positions and other regulated matters will be handled or reviewed by the appropriately authorised professional wherever required.
4. Expense & Financial Records Management
Maintain expense registers, petty cash records and reimbursement documentation.
Track expenses across the different divisions and business activities assigned to you.
Verify bills and supporting documents before processing them for approval.
Assist in monitoring budgets, recurring expenses and cost-related records.
Maintain organised physical and digital filing systems for financial documents.
5. Inter-Division Accounting
Handle accounting documentation and bookkeeping across all relevant Spice N Oil divisions, as allocated by management.
Maintain clear records of division-wise income, expenses, receivables, payables and other transactions.
Assist with inter-division reconciliations and transfer records wherever applicable.
Coordinate with employees, department representatives, vendors and management to obtain accurate financial information.
Ensure transactions are recorded under the appropriate business division, ledger and accounting category.
6. Reconciliation & Reporting
Assist with bank, cash, ledger, vendor and customer reconciliations.
Identify and report differences between accounting records, bank statements, invoices and payment records.
Prepare periodic summaries of expenses, collections, outstanding balances and other financial information.
Assist management in preparing monthly reports and other accounting statements.
Maintain accurate records to support internal reviews, audits and financial decision-making.
7. Documentation, Systems & Coordination
Use the accounting software, spreadsheets and digital systems adopted by the company.
Maintain accurate data entry, proper file naming and systematic document storage.
Ensure invoices, vouchers, receipts and supporting documents can be retrieved when required.
Coordinate with internal teams to collect missing information and resolve documentation issues.
Protect confidential financial, employee, customer, vendor and commercial information.

Assist with other accounting, documentation, administrative and financial coordination tasks assigned by management.
Support the implementation of improved accounting procedures and internal controls.
Follow established approval procedures and escalate discrepancies or irregularities promptly.
Perform other reasonable responsibilities related to the role as business requirements evolve.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related field preferred.
Relevant experience in bookkeeping, accounting assistance, billing or finance administration is preferred; capable freshers may also be considered.
Basic understanding of accounting principles, ledgers, invoices, receipts, payments and reconciliations.
Working knowledge of MS Excel or Google Sheets.

Basic awareness of GST invoices, tax documentation and statutory accounting processes.
Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
Good organisational skills and the ability to maintain systematic records.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Professional communication skills and the ability to coordinate with different departments.
Integrity, confidentiality, accountability and a willingness to learn.
What We Are Looking For
