Akiyam Solutions is looking for motivated and enthusiastic Unreal Engine C++ Developer Interns who want hands-on experience developing professional-quality games using Unreal Engine 5 and C++.
🎯 Responsibilities
• Develop gameplay systems, mechanics, and core game features using Unreal Engine C++
• Create and maintain C++ classes, components, actors, and gameplay systems
• Implement player controllers, character movement, weapons, combat mechanics, and interaction systems
• Develop and maintain gameplay frameworks using Unreal Engine architecture and programming patterns
• Integrate C++ systems with Blueprints for designer-friendly workflows
• Assist with multiplayer gameplay, networking, replication, and online features
• Work with Unreal Engine systems such as GameMode, GameState, PlayerController, PlayerState, and GameInstance
• Debug, profile, and optimize code for performance, stability, and maintainability
• Identify and resolve compilation errors, runtime issues, and gameplay bugs
• Collaborate with gameplay programmers, designers, artists, and other development team members
• Follow clean coding practices, modular architecture, and version control workflows
• Participate in code reviews, playtesting, and iterative feature development
💡 Preferred Skills (Good to Have)
• Experience with Unreal Engine 5 and C++ programming
• Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP)
• Familiarity with inheritance, polymorphism, encapsulation, pointers, references, and memory management
• Understanding of Unreal Engine macros, reflection, UObject, UCLASS, UPROPERTY, and UFUNCTION
• Knowledge of Actors, Components, Interfaces, Delegates, and Unreal Engine gameplay architecture
• Familiarity with C++ and Blueprint integration
• Basic understanding of multiplayer networking, replication, and client-server architecture
• Experience with debugging tools, Visual Studio, and Unreal Insights
• Familiarity with Git, GitHub, or other version control systems
• Knowledge of Unreal Engine AI, UI (UMG), Animation Blueprints, GAS, or online subsystems is a plus
• Personal Unreal Engine projects, GitHub repositories, game jams, or a technical portfolio

• This is an unpaid internship opportunity

✅ Eligibility
• Students/Freshers from B.Tech, BCA, MCA, Computer Science, IT, Game Development, or related fields
• Strong interest in C++ programming, game development, and problem-solving
• Basic knowledge of C++ and Unreal Engine is preferred
• Familiarity with Object-Oriented Programming and fundamental data structures is an advantage
• Personal Unreal Engine projects, C++ projects, GitHub repositories, or portfolio work are a plus
