Description
As the Sales Commercial Projects Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating complex customer projects that require additional planning, outside processing, cross-functional support, or Production approval. This role serves as the central point of coordination between Sales, Production, Logistics, Purchasing, and third-party vendors, keeping projects organized, properly supported, and on schedule. You will track timelines and dependencies, obtain
required approvals and vendor quotes, coordinate material and logistics needs, communicate changes quickly, and provide Sales leadership with visibility into project status and execution costs. This role does not replace the technical authority of Production; it ensures the right people have the right information, approvals, and resources at the right time.

What You’ll Do
Manage assigned in-house and outsourced customer projects from approval through production, outside processing, logistics, and delivery, maintaining clear timelines, milestones, dependencies, and next actions.
Serve as the primary coordination point between Sales, the Sales Manager, Production, Logistics, Purchasing, and third-party vendors for assigned projects.
Monitor project schedules and proactively identify delays, missing information, material constraints, vendor issues, or other risks; communicate changes promptly so Sales can manage customer expectations.
Ensure Production and supporting teams receive complete, organized project requirements, approvals, timelines, and relevant documentation with sufficient advance notice to plan and execute approved work effectively.
Gather required Production approvals for projects involving non-standard processes, capacity, materials, timelines, or other exceptions, and ensure approved work is clearly communicated to all affected teams.
Request and aggregate quotes from outside vendors and coordinate the creation of internal orders or purchasing requests associated with approved outside services.
Coordinate project requirements including materials, outside processing, packaging, crating, freight, and other logistics necessary to keep work moving at the required pace.
Track vendor commitments, lead times, and deliverables, following up as needed and escalating issues that may affect project cost, quality, or schedule.
Provide Sales leadership with visibility into quoted customer pricing compared with known or actual execution costs, including internal production requirements, outside vendor costs, materials, logistics, and other project-specific expenses.
Maintain organized project records, approvals, quotes, status updates, decisions, and relevant communications so stakeholders have a reliable source of current information.
Identify recurring customer requests, emerging verticals, capability gaps, and small process or operational limitations that repeatedly complicate or prevent sales; summarize these trends for the Sales Manager and Director of Sales and CX.
Participate in project closeout and lessons-learned reviews when appropriate, helping improve future quoting, planning, vendor selection, and execution.
Minimum Qualifications
3+ years of experience in project coordination, project management, operations, logistics, account support, vendor management, or a related role involving multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
Exceptional organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple active projects, dependencies, and changing priorities simultaneously.
Demonstrated follow-through and personal accountability, with the ability to maintain ownership of open items until they are resolved.
Experience coordinating complex projects or customer requirements across multiple internal departments and/or external vendors, with responsibility for timelines, dependencies, follow-up, and issue resolution.
Comfort working with project financial information, including vendor quotes, purchasing requirements, project costs, pricing, or similar financial data, with strong attention to accuracy.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and a professional demeanor when working with internal teams, leadership, customers, and outside vendors.
Ability to work effectively across departments without direct authority over the individuals responsible for project tasks.
Sound judgment and the ability to identify incomplete information, anticipate potential problems, seek answers proactively, and escalate issues when appropriate.
Ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced remote environment and communicate effectively by phone, video conference, email, and internal messaging platforms.
Proficiency with Google Workspace and/or Microsoft Office, including spreadsheets, documents, email, calendars, and shared project information.
Ability and willingness to learn manufacturing terminology, technical concepts, internal production processes, and vendor capabilities.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in manufacturing, production, supply chain, logistics, construction, engineering support, or another technical project environment.
Experience coordinating work performed by third-party vendors, subcontractors, or outside processors.
Experience tracking project costs, vendor quotes, purchasing requirements, or quoted-versus-actual project economics.
Experience working closely with Sales, Production, Operations, Engineering, Purchasing, or Logistics teams.
Experience supporting high-value, complex, or custom customer projects.
