Senior Product Designer

You will:
Partner with product managers and engineers to frame user and business problems, define what success looks like, and shape product direction for Carousell’s Marketplace.
Use data, metrics and research to understand user behaviour, find opportunities, and inform design decisions.
Design end-to-end experiences, from flows and information architecture to interaction and visual detail, that balance the needs of buyers, sellers and the marketplace as a whole.
Use AI tools to build working prototypes that let the team test ideas, align stakeholders and learn faster.
Think in systems: design reusable patterns and components, and consider how a change affects the rest of the product.
Work hand in hand with engineers in fast release cycles, making sound trade-offs and keeping quality high through to launch.
Measure the impact of what you ship and feed what you learn back into the next iteration.
Contribute to design excellence across Carousell through critique, sharing practices, and raising the bar on craft.
You have:
User obsession and empathy.
Strong product sense and problem-solving skills: you define problems clearly before jumping to solutions.
Strong analytical sense: you understand product metrics and use data to frame problems and evaluate outcomes.
A portfolio of shipped work with strong interaction and visual craft.
Hands-on experience building working prototypes with AI tools.
Strong systems thinking, shown both in how you design and how you reason about the product.
Experience using research to inform design decisions.
Clear, concise communication, and experience working closely with engineers in fast release cycles.
High integrity and the ability to collaborate positively with others.
5+ years of experience designing user-facing digital products.
