Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role based in Mumbai. The Interior Designer will develop design concepts, prepare mood boards and presentations, and translate client requirements into functional and visually appealing spaces. Day-to-day responsibilities include space planning, preparing and reviewing drawings, selecting materials and finishes, coordinating FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment), and ensuring design intent is maintained through execution. The role involves regular site visits, coordination with contractors, vendors, and consultants, and participation in client meetings to present design solutions and manage feedback. The Interior Designer will also support project documentation, timelines, and quality control throughout the design and construction process.
Qualifications
Ability to create efficient and functional layouts using strong Space Planning and Interior Design skills.
Foundational understanding of Architecture principles to integrate interior solutions with overall building design.
Proficiency in preparing and interpreting Construction Drawings for use by contractors and vendors.
Experience with FF&E selection, specification, and coordination, including furniture, lighting, and finishes.
Degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and presentation tools.
Strong visual and aesthetic sense, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with clients, teams, and external partners.
Prior experience in residential or commercial interior projects in an on-site capacity is an advantage.
