Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Developer to take ownership of mission-critical, API-driven web and mobile applications within a complex enterprise environment. This is a senior-level position requiring immediate contribution, technical leadership, and the ability to work independently across backend, frontend, mobile, and integration layers. The role involves driving architecture decisions, supporting the transition of externally developed solutions into internal ownership, and collaborating closely with design and engineering teams to deliver scalable, secure, and maintainable applications.
Key Responsibilities
Own end-to-end delivery across backend services, API layers, web applications, and mobile applications.
Design, develop, and maintain API-first architectures, primarily using REST-based services.
Define and enforce API contracts, integration patterns, and performance standards.
Collaborate closely with senior design stakeholders to assess technical feasibility and ensure alignment between user experience and system architecture.
Take ownership of externally delivered applications and components, ensuring a successful transition to internal support and development teams.
Drive architecture decisions, engineering standards, and development best practices.
Manage and optimise CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes across multiple environments.
Ensure applications meet performance, scalability, security, and maintainability requirements.
Promote engineering excellence through secure development practices, automated testing, and quality controls.
Required Skills & Experience
8+ years of professional software engineering experience with demonstrable senior-level ownership and delivery responsibility.
Strong full stack development experience covering backend and frontend technologies.
Proven expertise in API-first and REST-based architecture design, development, and integration.
Strong hands-on experience with:
Java
Kotlin
React
React Native
Oracle SQL and relational databases
Experience working with containerised platforms such as OpenShift and Kubernetes.
Strong experience with development and delivery tooling, including:
GitHub
GitHub Actions
Jenkins
Artifactory
Experience designing and implementing secure, scalable enterprise applications.
Hands-on experience with:
Checkmarx for security scanning
SonarQube for code quality and governance
Strong understanding of secure API design and implementation.
Experience implementing automated quality gates and secure delivery pipelines.
Ability to act as a technical authority and provide guidance on architecture and implementation approaches.
Strong communication skills and experience collaborating within distributed, cross-regional teams.
Proven ability to work independently with a high degree of ownership, accountability, and engineering discipline.
Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with Android development and device integrations.
Exposure to microservices architectures and API gateway patterns.
Experience with DevSecOps practices and pipeline automation.
Experience transitioning vendor-built or contractor-built solutions to internal engineering teams.
